Hello!

I'm Vernie, the owner of Mossel Bay Picnics. 🌊 After retiring from teaching, I moved to beautiful Mossel Bay, eager to turn my new surroundings and creativity into something special.

One day, I stumbled upon a shop selling gorgeous Balinese umbrellas (the ones you see in my picnics), and inspiration struck! I bought my first Bali umbrella, and Mossel Bay Picnics was born. Now I get to call the beach my new office - it's my happy place!

Creating memorable moments for engagements, birthdays, and weddings brings me so much joy. And sometimes, I get to host my own celebrations, like birthday picnics for my family members.

From marketing and graphic design to lending a hand with setups, my adult children play a key role in making Mossel Bay Picnics a success!

Did you know that the best way to contact me is via a WhatsApp message? 😃👋 That's right! This is because I am often on the move—busy setting up picnics on the beach or sourcing supplies.
